Getting Started

How do I sign up for EveryMango?

Signing up is simple! Just click "Try Free" or "Log In" and sign in with your Google account. We use Google Sign-In for a few ADHD-friendly reasons:

  • One click — no new password to create or remember
  • No verification emails — you're in instantly
  • Secure — Google handles the authentication

That's it! Once you're signed in, your tasks sync across all your devices automatically.

Is EveryMango free?

Yes! EveryMango is free for personal use. We believe everyone deserves gentle, judgment-free productivity tools regardless of budget.

In the future, we may offer premium features for teams or power users, but the core experience will always be free.

Where is my data stored?

When you're signed in, your data is securely stored in the cloud using Google Firebase. This means:

  • Your tasks sync automatically across all your devices
  • Your data is private and only accessible to you
  • Everything is backed up — no risk of losing your work

We take your privacy seriously. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I use EveryMango on my phone?

Right now, EveryMango works best on desktop and laptop browsers. The app is functional on mobile, but we're actively working on a better mobile experience.

Coming soon: Dedicated iOS and Android apps are on our roadmap as a top priority!

Features

What is Brain Dump and how do I use it?

Brain Dump is your mental catch-all. It's the orange bar at the top of the screen where you can instantly capture any thought, task, or idea.

How to use it:

  • Type your thought in the Brain Dump bar
  • Press Enter or click "Capture"
  • Your thought is saved instantly
  • Organize it later when you have bandwidth

The key insight: capture now, organize later. Don't let ideas slip away while deciding where they "belong."

What is Focus Mode?

Focus Mode hides everything except your starred (priority) tasks. When you're feeling overwhelmed by a long task list, Focus Mode cuts through the noise.

To use it:

  • Star the tasks that matter most right now
  • Toggle on Focus Mode
  • Only your starred tasks will be visible

It's like putting blinders on — intentionally limiting your view so you can actually focus.

How do Quick Wins work?

Quick Wins filters your task list to show only tasks that take 15 minutes or less. It's perfect for:

  • Low-energy days — when big tasks feel impossible
  • Building momentum — small wins create dopamine hits
  • Using spare time — got 10 minutes? Knock something out

To use it, just set an estimated duration on your tasks, then toggle the Quick Wins filter.

What is Gentle Mode (No-Judgment Mode)?

Gentle Mode changes how EveryMango talks about overdue tasks. Instead of guilt-inducing language like "5 days overdue," you'll see softer phrasing like "5 days ago — no judgment!"

Why? Because beating yourself up never helped anyone get things done. The task is still there; we just don't need to rub it in.

You can toggle Gentle Mode on or off in your settings based on your preference.

How do Energy Levels work?

Energy Levels let you tag tasks by how much mental or physical energy they require: Low, Medium, or High.

Why it matters: On a low-spoons day, you can filter for low-energy tasks. On a high-energy day, tackle the big stuff. Match your work to how you actually feel.

Examples:

  • Low energy: filing, email replies, organizing
  • Medium energy: research, routine meetings
  • High energy: creative work, difficult conversations, complex decisions

What is Someday/Maybe?

Someday/Maybe is a parking lot for ideas and tasks that aren't ready yet. They're not forgotten — they're just ripening.

Use it for:

  • Ideas you want to explore "someday"
  • Tasks that depend on something else happening first
  • Things you might want to do but aren't committing to yet

Moving items to Someday/Maybe removes them from your active view, reducing decision fatigue without losing them forever.

How does the Pomodoro Timer work?

The Pomodoro Timer helps you work in focused bursts. The classic technique is 25 minutes of work followed by a 5-minute break.

Why it works for ADHD:

  • Time constraints create urgency (good for initiation)
  • Knowing a break is coming makes starting easier
  • Built-in breaks prevent burnout

You can customize the work and break durations to fit your preferences.

Account & Data

Is my data private?

Yes, absolutely. Your data is private and only accessible to you. We use Firebase's security rules to ensure each user can only access their own tasks and projects.

We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising. Your task list is yours alone.

Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

How do I delete my account?

If you'd like to delete your account and all associated data, please email us at hello@everymango.com with the subject line "Delete My Account."

We'll process your request and permanently remove your data within 30 days. This action is irreversible.

Why Google Sign-In only?

This is an intentional ADHD-friendly choice! Here's why we chose Google Sign-In only:

  • One-click login — no new password to create or remember
  • Reduced cognitive load — one less thing to manage
  • No password reset emails — we've all been there
  • Secure by default — Google handles the security

We may add more sign-in options in the future based on user feedback.

Do my tasks sync across devices?

Yes! When you're signed in with Google, your tasks automatically sync across all your devices. Add a task on your laptop, see it on your tablet.

Syncing happens in real-time, so changes appear almost instantly on other devices.
